Sustainability in AV conference

The first professional session addresses the sustainability challenges in AV, featuring keynote speaker Amelia Kallman, a renowned London futurist, author, and consultant for Fortune 500 companies. Recognized as one of the Top 20 World-Leading Futurists of 2024 and Top 25 Women in the Metaverse, she will provide insights on how IT and AV investments can drive impactful change. In this session we will also focus on the transition from ideas to practice, guiding IT and AV professionals on helping businesses achieve their sustainability goals.

In our second session, we focus on designing long-lasting products and solutions. This includes a panel discussion led by the global lead of sustainability at Kinly, addressing the growing issue of e-waste in the technology industry and the impact of AV systems. We will explore innovative methods companies use to reduce waste, including building durable products, enhancing repairability, facilitating breakdown and recycling, and implementing takeback schemes to ensure equipment gets a second life.

In our third session, we explore the connection between innovation, data and sustainability with key notes and a vendor panel discussion. The focus will be on understanding the environmental impact of AV equipment and measuring carbon footprints to drive meaningful improvements. Our global innovation lead will also share views on how advancements in AV can impact sustainability solutions. Topics include reducing the embodied emissions of products, enhancing energy efficiency, utilizing AV solutions to gather and reduce consumption data, and identifying the information customers need.
